Despite sweltering temperatures and any pre-season jitters, last September our Men’s 1 st XI
competed against neighbouring clubs of Swindon, Corsham, Chippenham, Devizes and
Marlborough to be crowned Wiltshire Cup champions. Having competed in and won the
same tournament in 2021 and 2022, achieving back-to-back wins at a county level over
three years is a club first and was a fantastic start to the 23/24 season.

Whilst many of the squad have played together for a number of years, new players have
joined (and some sadly left) demonstrating the strength of the wider club membership in
maintaining team performance levels. Special mention to Tom Ponting who as captain
throughout this period has so successfully led the team in their achievements.
