The ladies 2nd XI hosted a strong Westberries side on Saturday 18th September (boosted by some familiar Bassett 1st faces!) putting in a comfortable performance but failed secure the win.

A great goalkeeping performance from up and coming junior Michaela Bruce helped keep the Westberries attack at bay, with a solid game from the 2s defenders giving few opportunities to score. The attack and midfield lines kept the pressure on throughout with the only Bassett goal finally coming from the efforts of Martha Haywood.

With a positive pre-season start, the ladies look forward to the first league game away to City of Bath next weekend.
